We have opened a new distribution centre at West Calder Community Centre.
We recently reported that the roll-out of Universal Credit has prompted extra demand for the foodbank’s services. So the new distribution point has been set up in West Calder to help deal with the increase.
We will start distributing from Wednesday, October 23, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at the dining room in West Calder Community Centre.
Already this year, we have distributed 2925 emergency food packs, designed to feed 5885 people – 2118 of them children. An increase of 41% on last year!
