West Lothian Foodbank says goodbye to Marshall Green

10th September 2019

West Lothian Foodbank wishes ex-warehouse manager, Marshall Green, all the best for an amazing retirement.

Marshall was instrumental in feeding over 28,000 local people in crisis and worked tirelessly to fight food poverty in West Lothian since the foodbank’s inception in 2012.

West Lothian Foodbank manager, Kathleen Neilly, said: “Marshall’s hard work and dedication had a profound impact on the growth of the foodbank and I am forever grateful for his support and guidance. Marshall was here from day one and looked after the warehouse for six years, often taking his paperwork home with the support of his wife, Kay.

“Marshall engaged the local community to think about those less fortunate, and delivered countless talks to local groups, schools, churches and donors about the work of the foodbank. He had time for everyone and I could always rely on his support in the form of a bible verse or story.”

The foodbank would like to thank both Marshall and Kay for their time, effort and encouragement over the years. As one chapter ends, another begins, welcome to your new found freedom!

Martin Neilly has been appointed as the foodbank’s new warehouse manager. To donate to the foodbank, please visit here.
