In the last year 42 schools in West Lothian have donated an incredible 9.93 tonnes of food to local people facing crisis. This is the equivalent of over 23,600 meals for the poorest and most vulnerable in our society.
We would like to say a special thank you to pupils from Linlithgow Academy who collected an outstanding 708kg (approx. 1,680 meals) of food during one dress down day, and pupils from Croftmalloch Primary School who also collected an amazing 810kg (approx. 1,930 meals) of food over the past year.
These are both record-breaking donations from any school or corporate group in West Lothian since we opened in 2012.
