Charity shop move

19th February 2019

Our Charity Shop is moving to new premises at 6 West Main Street, Whitburn, EH47 0QA at the end of the month. The much-needed move will see the charity shop relocate from Market Place in Whitburn to the larger unit on the main street, incorporating the shop and a new sewing room.

Charity shop manager Sharon Paterson said: “Thanks to the incredible generosity of the local community over the years, the charity shop quickly outgrew its former premises, and we’ve been looking for new premises for some time. We are delighted to announce that we are now in the process of moving to our new home.”

The charity shop, which donated over 60 dresses to local girls ahead of the prom and gala season last year, has witnessed a considerable increase in the number of donations in recent months.

Sharon Paterson added: “The new shop will help fund West Lothian Foodbank to manage the increasing number of local people facing crisis, and we are now in an even better position to deal with the rising tide of foodbank referrals. We will continue to provide vital support when it matters most and are dedicated to ensuring that people in our community with no money for food are able to access emergency support.”

The shop would welcome any donations and new volunteers. Please get in touch if you’d like to help.
